Being in the Ministry for a few years now, I’ve noticed one major
issue that most Christians seem to have trouble with that issue is understanding prayer.
I can not count how many times people talk as if prayer is a foreign thing, or the numbers of prayers will equal success with getting God to move on your part. I too, have struggled with this issue for many years. I use to think that prayer was some form of special God given talent; futhermore, I would try and find someone who I thought could really pray, to pray for me, as if their great prayers could help me in my problems. I can recall seeing a church billboard saying “praying with many tears can move mountains with God.” As I was reading this sign, the Spirit of God moved on me and said, “prayer of tears will not make me move, only prayers that are based on the word of God.”
With Gods words, hovering in my heart, I started to think about that statement, “Only prayers that are based on the word of God will make God move.” I have always tried to base my prayers on what the Bible said, yet with little to no real action from God. So what are prayers based on the word of God. Well, that is what we are going to explore in this newsletter. We will start the process of Understanding Prayer.
First thing I would recommend for you is to forget everything you know about prayer, and with this study to start and rebuild your thought and understanding of prayer. Now some might say, Brother Daryl that is a big statement, and I would reply “Yes it is”, yet I am almost confident that you, as I was have learned prayer in an religious form, and not what the Bible says prayer is.
Now, there are numerous types of prayer, and I will not be going into the different prayers. I want to show you what prayer is, and how you can to start to use prayer in an effective way.
Prayers based on the word of God, are not easy prayers. If you are going to base your prayer on the word of God, then you are going to have to know the word of God. Let’s look at
Joshua 1:5-9
“No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. [6]” Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. [7]” Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. [8] ” This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will
make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. [9] ” Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord! your God is with you wherever you go.”
Notice, in the above scripture; God told him to not let the
book or words of the Law depart from his mouth. Why is that? Well God has put his will for us in the word of God, and we must know the word of God in order to understand what God’s will is for our life.
2 Tim. 2:15
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”
Have you ever wondered why you must handle the word of God with such care? It’s not that you must quote the scriptures to people, or be able to argue the scriptures at a moment notice. Their must be a reason why God puts so much infuness on the word of God?
Psalm 119:76
“O may your lovingkindness comfort me, According to Your word to your servant.”
This scripture shows a key for the reason that we must study the
word of God and keep it before us daily. The world of God is our guide to what God wants in our life. Remember, in 1 Joshua 1:8 reads “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Now, for when you will make your way prosperous. There is defiantly a connection between what we speak and the word of God. We can see this even more clearly in some New Testament teachings.
Mark 11:24
“Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.”
Here is another key to understanding prayer, Jesus says what ever we ask for in prayer, believe that we have received them. Jesus is giving us the definition of faith.
Hebrews 11:1-2
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. [2] For by it the men of old gained approval.”
In its basic form, pray must be firm and rooted in faith. So one may ask, Brother Daryl, if it must be firm and rooted in faith, why are you telling me it must be based on the word of God. Here is why. It must be firm, in order, to believe what you ask for. If you really don’t believe that you will receive, then you will not hold fast to your prayer.
James 1:6-8
“But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. [7] For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, [8] being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
And how can it be rooted in faith with out the word of God?
Hebrews 11:6
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”
Hebrews tells us that it is impossible to please God without faith, and if we are going to approach God we must believe that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. This can not get much simpler. We need faith in order to get our prayers answered. So how do we get this faith?
Hebrews 12:2
“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
First we must understand that Jesus is the author and finisher of
our faith. This means that we have the same faith as Jesus has. He was the creator of your faith and he had perfected your faith. So, why can we not get any prayers answered, simple we are not applying our faith to the will of God. For the most part, most of us do not really know what Gods will is for us, so how can we pray it. There lies the problem, when we pray “Father if it be they will” this is really a cop out, it’s a lazy prayer. If we are going to get results in our life, we are going to have to know the will of God for our life, and there is only one way of doing this, by faith. How is faith built?
Romans 10:17
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”
We can see it’s by reading the word of God, our Bible, what we can get our faith to operate at full potential. See Jesus created the faith, and the word of God will prefect it. We need to quite trying to con God into answering our prayers. What we need to do is start to understand how to pray. Think of prayer like a baseball player. Does he get up to bat to strike out? No, he wants to hit a home run every time he gets up to bat. And that is how we should be, Prayer is hard work, and it’s like home work when you’re in school. You will get out of prayer what you put into it.
In conclusion, it’s by knowing the word of God, and keeping the word in our mouth that we can start to produce the faith that will please God and get him to move on our part. It is not how much you pray, or how many times a day that you pray, it’s really what you are saying that will make the difference in your prayer life. Base your pray’s on the word of God and you will see God move in your life.
In Part 2 of Understanding Prayer, I will show you how to Pray Effectively. I will show you how to apply this lesson as well as part 2, and you will have the right foundation to be a Master in the art of Prayer.

Motherhood changed my writing life. I have gone from needing church silence to being able to write in my living room where my husband and son are loudly interacting with televised sports, or my daughter is playing piano. I’ve learned to ignore even the dog when he is in rabbit-mode, ears back and running through the rooms, then freezing into a John Bellushi-Animal House stance. I think this was a gradual evolution. I used to retreat to a corner in the attic when the children were toddlers and I convinced myself my emotional distance could be increased through stairs. I wrote several books up there, and only came down to work when my laser printer gave up the ghost, and my husband bought me a laptop.
Now, I am happiest writing near a window with a coffee pot close, and passersby in view. I like watching the UPS trucks come and go, the neighborhood dogs sniffing my dandelions, the gaggle of youngsters making its way down the block to the local theater from one of our neighborhood schools. I like being reminded of the reality beyond my keyboard even as I choose to ignore it. This attentiveness I attribute to motherhood.
At college, I remember causing several food explosions when I would try to cook and write simultaneously. I would park my blue, Brother electric typewriter on our dinette table overlooking the duck pond at our off-campus apartment, and settle in to work. Neither the rhythm of the machine nor the return bell distracted the voice in my head as it spilled onto the page. Unremarkably, I managed to work up an appetite moving only my fingers. I had staples on hand, eggs, bread, hot dogs, and M&Ms. I was always low-carbing then (except for the chocolate) so I stayed away from the bread, and would boil either hot dogs or eggs. It wasn’t so bad when hot dogs exploded. They quietly burst apart leaving pink shreds pretty close to the stove, and were greasy enough to be easily washed away. But when the browned and crusty hard boiled eggs blew, they released the worst of all stinks, and my roommates would be justifiably offended. They could never understand how I could lose track of time so completely.
Boiling eggs do warn you with aural cues; they rattle against each other, against the pot. I can promise you I hear them now from a room away. In fact, now I can hear through doors and walls. I can wake up running from a dead sleep and magically appear at the bathroom doorway when one of my children is sick. Motherhood sharpens your hearing, even while it allows you to tune out the most repetitive video game. You can discern the slightest inflection in your child’s after-school voice, and know lunch didn’t go well. You can take a temperature with your lips, sniff out a bad cold cut, read dejection on a ball field from yards and yards away, and feel each second pass until your child arrives home safely. Motherhood makes your senses that acute, and won’t ever allow you to leave a stove unattended.

When I was twelve my parents bought me a five foot snooker table for my birthday. This turned out to be the best present I was ever bought and I quickly became hooked on the game. My friends would regularly come round to my house for a game and when they were not there I would practice on my own.
After a few months a few of us decided to join a snooker club where we could play on full size tables. I was amazed the first time I saw one of these tables at its sheer size, it was twelve foot by six foot. We started to play and it was much more difficult to pot the balls on this much larger table.
The club itself was superb and had free coaching for children under the age of sixteen on a Saturday morning. The coach was called Glen who was aged around thirty at the time. He was a larger than life character and a very good snooker player. We were encouraged to join this free coaching which we duly did. There was regular tournaments as well as coaching and they gave us free drinks and toast.
All of the players were not exactly the best in the world being so young and not one of us had ever had a twenty break. This was the first goal of all of us, to become the first player to reach this target. I was extremely determined that it would be me and listened carefully to what I was being taught and tried hard to implement it.
My progress was quite rapid and to my amazement I was the first person to score that elusive twenty break. People around the snooker table I was playing on started to applaud and I was walking around with a beaming smile on my face.
Glen who was on the other side of the room wondered over to find out what all of the noise was about. I thought he would be so proud of me and happy at my achievement, however he stated that if I could score twenty, I could score thirty. He told me to stop messing about and smiling, and to re-concentrate on the job in hand.
I had been brought straight back down to earth and was a bit gutted to say the least. This lesson was a very good one for me to learn at such an early age and I eventually went on to have breaks of over one hundred.

Many people in our modern society live from paycheck to paycheck. Most of them do not even see where the money they earn from a month long work goes a day after the payday. A lot of them are in deep financial trouble and are already in the brink of filing for bankruptcy. Is this what you really need or do you still want to get back your good financial standing? Debt consolidation refinance may be what you need.
Let us learn a little about debt consolidation refinance. First benefit you will from debt consolidation refinance is that it may help eliminate harassment from creditor. You may get back your life and you credit worthiness.
You may need a debt consolidation refinance when you feel that your monthly obligation becomes difficult to manage. It may be able to help avoid being subject to huge and unrealistically high late payments charges and interest rates that burden you. Debt consolidation refinance is also necessary when you start to notice that even after making your monthly payments your balance still remains the same. A part from it, debt consolidation will avoid bankruptcy and keep you in good credit shape.
If you own a home, you may apply for a debt consolidation refinance against you home. Thus, you will only pay one creditor every month. Avoid loan sharks who will offer to help you in your debt consolidation refinance but will apply huge interest rates. They may give you stiff monthly payment terms and charge you double what other lending institution may charge for their services. This is not the debt consolidation company you want to deal with. If you can, find a non-profit debt consolidation company or lending institution that may give you the best options when you need a debt consolidation refinance. Check also the length of the payment terms and the charges for their services. When you feel comfortable with the terms, only then can you sign a document sealing your agreement for a debt consolidation refinance.
It may also be a recommendation that if you have a regular eight to five job, you may ask the debt consolidation company for a little relief, may be you do not need to put your home as collateral. If they can arrange for your debt consolidations refinance without your home as collateral, maybe this is a neat deal.

Iodine, is a chemical element that is required as a trace element for most living organisms. Iodine is also used in medicine, photography and in dyes.
Iodine, derived from the Greek: “ioeides”, or violet, is a violet coloured solid that sublimates at standard temperatures into a blue-violet gas that has a distinctive odor.
The element was discovered in 1811 by Barnard Courtois, who was involved in the manufacture of saltpeter, at the time. knowledge of this substance has come to include the host of benefits it brings to the body as an essential nutrient.
Getting enough Iodine naturally in one’s daily diet was difficult in certain remote areas that had no access to seafoods. Unfortunately, this is still the case in some developing nations.
Since the introduction of iodized salt, meeting the daily Iodine requirement has become almost effortless and inexpensive in the industrialized nations. In these nations Iodine Deficiency is now quite rare. As developing nations are able to make the shift to iodized salt, their rates of Iodine Deficiency and the Health problems associated with it have also begun to decrease.
Iodine mainly serves the body through its interactions with the thyroid gland. Approximately 80% of the Iodine found in the body is located in the thyroid. With the help of Iodine, the thyroid is able to produce its hormones, thyroxine and triodothyronine. These hormones play a major part in regulating processes relating to growth and development of the body, and also influence the maturation of the reproductive system.
Because of its influence on the activities of the thyroid gland, Iodine plays a great role in the basic metabolism processes and levels in the body. It helps to enable the body to efficiently burn calories and prevent excess calories from being stored as more fat than the body needs. It has a role in maintaining the energy level of the body and in helping the skin, teeth, nails and hair to he strong and healthy. Iodine also helps to destroy toxins throughout the body, and assists the body to use both calcium and silicone.
A Deficiency in Iodine can negatively affect the Health and functioning of the body and mind in many ways, some of which are more serious than others. The symptoms of Iodine Deficiency that affect the mind range from feelings of frustration, anxiety, depression and mental retardation stemming from an IQ point decrease of up to 15 points.
The World Health Organization places Iodine Deficiency as one of the leading causes of mental retardation worldwide relating to such diseases as cretinism, which includes serious physical malformations.
Physical symptoms of Iodine Deficiency can include dry, scaly skin, fatigue, constipation, unusual weight gain, impaired thyroid operation, goiters, decreased fertility, increased rate of stillbirth, and severe growth abnormalities.
Iodized salt is so inexpensive, it should be spread throughout the poverty centers of the developing nations and the needless suffering of millions could be alleviated.
The average daily requirement of Iodine ranges from 40 Micrograms per day for infants up to 150-200 Micrograms of Iodine per day for adults.
Pregnant women need 175 micrograms of Iodine per day and lactating mothers should have 200 micrograms daily. A half teaspoon of iodized salt contains 190 micrograms of Iodine.

Danny has been a bully at work for most of his 30 year career. He’s worked at several different locations and moved on because the people he worked with all seemed to have the same problem, “They’re all idiots. Don’t know what they’re doing.”
For a short time he was a manager, but was removed. His fellow managers seemed to have the same problem as the other people Danny worked with, “They’re all idiots. Don’t know what they’re doing.”
He fools some people . . . for a while. Eventually, most people see that the problem is not with the people whom Danny worked with, but rather Danny, himself.
Danny could have been a good employee. He is knowledgeable. He’s not hesitant in seeking answers. He holds people
accountable. And actually, he’s been known to go to bat for the people he works with.
So, what’s the problem? Danny doesn’t listen to people. He has no use for their opinions. Once he has formed a solution in his mind, he closes out any other type of communication. He shouts down opposition. And no matter what, Danny is always right. The other people are always wrong. When there is a problem he runs to management to present his side first . . . and Danny has been known to lie to cover his own misdeeds. But even bad managers are getting weary of his antics. Danny was a union representative on a safety committee. Because of his attitude and offensive comments to management, the committee felt that they would be more productive without him. They were.
How has Danny survived? Well, he does get things done and most people don’t complain when they get bullied. But in a changing world, a world that is becoming more respectful at work, people will start to complain.
Most attempts to address workplace bullying come from other parts of the world, but workplace bullying is slowly becoming an issue in the United States as well. Just because it has not been mentioned, does not mean that it is not a problem. Many aspects of workplace bullying can be covered under various existing laws, and with an increased focus on the issue, organizations should take precautions to protect themselves by of legal risks associated with bullying.
“The purpose of bullying is to hide the inadequacy of the bully and has nothing to do with “management” or the achievement of tasks. Bullies project their inadequacies onto others to distract and divert attention away from their inadequacies. In most cases of workplace bullying reported to the U.K. National Workplace Bullying Advice Line, the bully is a serial bully who has a history of conflict with staff. The bullying that one sees is often also the tip of an iceberg of wrongdoing which may include misappropriation of budgets, harassment, discrimination, as well as breaches of rules, regulations, professional codes of conduct and health and safety practices.”
— Tim Field
There are bully/harassment prevention programs available, but it usually takes a problem on-the-job for organizations to
implement protective measures. The workplace is for teamwork, not for bullies. Training can help the situation and protect
employees from the workplace bully.
Currently, Danny has found a job in an office by himself. It’s a seven day a week job, so someone relieves him two days a
week. They never see each other. Danny now has less interaction with fellow employees and the general public. Working by
himself he may be able to survive until retirement, unless he finds more people to bully.

Interesting article in USA Today that I read this week that I’ve also read about on Scott Ginsberg’s blog. Think about this: What does your business card say about you? If you work in a company that requires you to conform to the corporate standard, obviously you don’t have much choice. For the rest, what are you doing to stand out in a crowd of many?
A few suggestions from me that may or not be found in the above articles:
Use wild, interesting colors. Do you want to see a red card, or a white card? I choose red.
Use as little information as possible that is boring, and as much information as possible that is interesting. This means your fax number and mailing address are likely irrelevant, and what your value differentiating factor is is likely very relevant. Instead of “designer” how about “Designer to the Stars?” To quote the book title by Paul Arden, It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Think You Want To Be. Put what you WANT your job title to be. Be creative, and talk about what you do, because that’s REALLY what you are.
Try to make an instant impression with your business card. Again, the color is the thing that makes people sit up and take notice. And don’t forget to make a personal connection. See tip 5 for more on this
Be sure your name, phone number, e-mail address and website are listed on your card. If you don’t have a website, why not? I strongly encourage you to get a website, even if you use a template company like I do at http://www.1and1.com You can get a site up in under 4 hours if you can use Microsoft Word, so do it now!
Don’t just give out your business cards to everyone: be partial to who you give it to and make a real connection with the person getting your card. Why should anyone remember your name or what you do? GIVE THEM A REASON TO REMEMBER YOU! Try to make a connection as quickly as you can, so you can share what you’re both passionate about as much as possible to deepen that connection. Connected people are people who you can help, and who can help you. Keith Ferrazi, author of Never Eat Alone, has a great article here on the importantce of making this connection.
Don’t put every way to reach you on the card, but don’t be afraid to write it on the card if you’ve made a particularly solid connection. Putting all contact information makes nobody feel important, but hand-writing a special way to reach you makes people feel like you’re reaching out.
In conclusion, take the time to make it a great business card. Good is not good enough anymore!
Until next time, make it a great week!

The stress of going to a physical betting hall makes it recommendable to let it be altogether. You’re not required to leave your home to go for online texas holdem etc for the simple reason that you can do all this from your bedroom if you own a personal computer including an internet access account. Though allowing for that, you should remember that there are quite a few facts which you must absorb concerning online texas holdem etc, in particular if you’re a tyro.
Wow your friends: Learn to play gambling gamble here.
The foremost thing which a canny Web high roller like yours truly definitely must suss out is an online texas holdem etc web site of the type guaranteeing the best odds. Be sure that the online texas holdem etc web site is connected to a reputable auditor to assay their quoted online wager’s pay-outs percentage at fixed intervals. Always make certain the virtual blackjack web site holds a license, e.g. by probing the official warrant as proffered on the casino webpage. Should it prove impossible to ferret out any official warrant on that virtual blackjack web site, do not attempt any card playing there.
Another bit of advice is obviously to place a wager at the start in slight amounts instead of exhausting big dollars instantly. Check out the operability of this virtual blackjack system prior to triggering any major risk– in particular that of losing your money! And now, the last notable fact concerning online wagering. It can obviously only be to remember always that gambling should entirely be concerned with pleasurable enjoyment and not so much about big dollars. Wagering in an online casino isn’t a profession, but, rather a pastime which ought to help you become glad and living sweet. After having observed the suggestions given above, go ahead and submit to the lure of virtual blackjack!

Treadmills are expensive pieces of equipment with moving parts, so poor maintenance would cause more damage than it repairs. Every treadmill is designed differently and hence, for the best maintenance, it would be best to refer to the manual supplied with it.
Even a simple thing like dust accumulation may be a deterrent for the smooth movement of the conveyor. About once a week, the treadmill should be dusted all over. Special attention must be paid to areas under the belt, and any accumulation there should be dusted off.
There are several treadmill maintenance kits available in the market. They are mostly silicone-based. These kits may be used, after dusting, on moving parts such as the belt, the deck and the motor. A few drops of lubrication fluid through a convenient dropper help in maintaining lubrication in these parts of the machine and reduces the friction. But, a word of caution! Use these kits only if recommended by the manufacturers. Using the wrong type of liquid on a treadmill may make the belt too slippery, and make it lose its grip. There may be other problems these may create with the incline. Generally treadmill manufacturers also manufacture their own treadmill maintenance kits. Instead of using commercial kits, one can also use any other non-abrasive, non-acidic cleaner fluid with equal impact.
Waxing the deck must be avoided unless specifically mentioned in the treadmill manual. Many treadmill manufacturers have their own coatings on the belt for grip. Waxing them may just make the surface gummier and make it lose its grip.
There are little things that must be done regularly, like wiping the console and the handrails with a damp cloth, keeping the deck clean, etc. Do not use wet cloths on the console. As in any electronic device, grounding is necessary. An AC power supply with grounding would prevent the digital parts of the treadmill from crashing. A loss in the artificial intelligence of the treadmill may translate into loss of inclines and speeds, and may also render the treadmill totally dysfunctional.
However heavy the treadmill may be, with time it moves a little. There may be changes in the belt, which may gradually move on one side. About once a month, the belt must be realigned with the center. Belt tracking is also done if the belt falls loose and begins to sag. But be careful that you do not tighten the belt too much.
The treadmill itself may move over time and lose its level with the floor. This may cause squeaking noises while the belt is in motion. Adjust the treadmill regularly for its horizontality.
These simple maintenance procedures can be done by the users themselves. It is not necessary to contract professionals for maintenance and pay their heavy bills. However, for more complicated things like a blown fuse or component replacement, it is best to approach the company.
Treadmills provides detailed information about treadmills, treadmill reviews, best treadmills, used treadmills and more. Treadmills is the sister site of Big Muscles.
