The head of Virgin Media, Richard Branson, also recognised the need for spreading knowledge while stating that he is also not as technologically updated as he should be and might need to join one of these broadband schools.

However, both men’s rise in the computer industry started at Job’s home garage. It was where the two assembled computers. Their first computer, which they both named Apple 1, was an instant success. The computer store The Byte Shop purchased 50 models. Although the Apple 1 was very crude, it was nevertheless the best model of a personal portable computer at the time. The earnings they made on Apple 1 were used to develop another computer model, Apple II.
Apple II was Job’s ticket in forming the Apple Company. At first several persons refused to lend him the money needed to create Apple II but Jobs eventually found a benefactor in Mike Markkula. Mike co-signed a bank loan with Jobs worth $250,000. With the money, the two Steve’s and Mike formed the Apple Computer Company on April 1, 1976.
