Satan tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden, and Jesus in the desert. Guess what? Satan tempts you and I everyday too. Satan is nothing but a fallen angel gone bad. Satan is an evil spirit who disguises him self to us in deceiving ways. He tempts us into doing immoral things that make us want to live his way instead of God’s way.
1.)Satan likes to tempt people when they are at their most vulnerable, or when they are physically and emotionally overstressed.
“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Jesus answered, “It is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but from every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:2-4
Satan tempted Jesus after fasting for forty days, and He was hungry and tired. This time of testing showed that Jesus really was the Son of God, because he overcame the temptations of the devil.
God will test all Christian’s sometime in their lives. Our convictions are only strong if they will hold up under the pressures of temptation.
Are you ready to be tested by Satan?
2.)Satan offered Jesus the whole world because he wanted Jesus to obey him.
“Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in their splendor.
“All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
Jesus said to him, “Away from me Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.” Matthew 4:8-11
Satan tempts you and I today in the same way by enticing us through the love of money (materialism) and power in the world, and by our desires and wants (physical).
What temptations have enticed you?
3.)Sin comes in alluring and persuasive forms.
“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “Throw yourself down. For it is written: “He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike a foot against a stone.”
Jesus answered him and said, “It is also written, Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” Matthew 4:6-7
Satan used scripture to try and get Jesus to do what he wanted, but Jesus did not falter. Satan made it sound so persuasive, and still Jesus did not sin!
When we are tempted, Satan will focus on 3 areas that he knows we are at our most vulnerable.
1.)Wants, desires (physical) having sex before marriage, immoral and lustful acts, adultery, prostitution, homosexuality, perverted acts, etc.
2.)Materialism, money, power (mental) greed, striving for more money and power makes us not want to get to know God. Striving for status in life makes us rebellious to the ways of God.
3.)Pride! Pride stands in the way of humbling down to tempting situations. Pride is the root of number two!
Have you ever been persuaded or convinced to sin? How has Satan persuaded you?
4.)God will never lead us into temptation, but He will TEST us.
…”And Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Matthew 6:13
All Christians struggle with temptations. Sometimes these tempting situations are so subtle that we don’t even know we are sinning. But God has PROMISED us that we won’t be tempted beyond what we can bear.
“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
5.)Married couples can resist temptation! (Sexual sin)
If we have faith enough, God will give us the strength and desire to want to overcome sin.
“The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to the husband. The wife’s body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone, but also to his wife. Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” 1 Corinthians 7:3-5
Spiritually we belong to God, but physically we belong to our spouse!

Being in the Ministry for a few years now, I’ve noticed one major
issue that most Christians seem to have trouble with that issue is understanding prayer.
I can not count how many times people talk as if prayer is a foreign thing, or the numbers of prayers will equal success with getting God to move on your part. I too, have struggled with this issue for many years. I use to think that prayer was some form of special God given talent; futhermore, I would try and find someone who I thought could really pray, to pray for me, as if their great prayers could help me in my problems. I can recall seeing a church billboard saying “praying with many tears can move mountains with God.” As I was reading this sign, the Spirit of God moved on me and said, “prayer of tears will not make me move, only prayers that are based on the word of God.”
With Gods words, hovering in my heart, I started to think about that statement, “Only prayers that are based on the word of God will make God move.” I have always tried to base my prayers on what the Bible said, yet with little to no real action from God. So what are prayers based on the word of God. Well, that is what we are going to explore in this newsletter. We will start the process of Understanding Prayer.
First thing I would recommend for you is to forget everything you know about prayer, and with this study to start and rebuild your thought and understanding of prayer. Now some might say, Brother Daryl that is a big statement, and I would reply “Yes it is”, yet I am almost confident that you, as I was have learned prayer in an religious form, and not what the Bible says prayer is.
Now, there are numerous types of prayer, and I will not be going into the different prayers. I want to show you what prayer is, and how you can to start to use prayer in an effective way.
Prayers based on the word of God, are not easy prayers. If you are going to base your prayer on the word of God, then you are going to have to know the word of God. Let’s look at
Joshua 1:5-9
“No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. [6]” Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. [7]” Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. [8] ” This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will
make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. [9] ” Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord! your God is with you wherever you go.”
Notice, in the above scripture; God told him to not let the
book or words of the Law depart from his mouth. Why is that? Well God has put his will for us in the word of God, and we must know the word of God in order to understand what God’s will is for our life.
2 Tim. 2:15
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”
Have you ever wondered why you must handle the word of God with such care? It’s not that you must quote the scriptures to people, or be able to argue the scriptures at a moment notice. Their must be a reason why God puts so much infuness on the word of God?
Psalm 119:76
“O may your lovingkindness comfort me, According to Your word to your servant.”
This scripture shows a key for the reason that we must study the
word of God and keep it before us daily. The world of God is our guide to what God wants in our life. Remember, in 1 Joshua 1:8 reads “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Now, for when you will make your way prosperous. There is defiantly a connection between what we speak and the word of God. We can see this even more clearly in some New Testament teachings.
Mark 11:24
“Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.”
Here is another key to understanding prayer, Jesus says what ever we ask for in prayer, believe that we have received them. Jesus is giving us the definition of faith.
Hebrews 11:1-2
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. [2] For by it the men of old gained approval.”
In its basic form, pray must be firm and rooted in faith. So one may ask, Brother Daryl, if it must be firm and rooted in faith, why are you telling me it must be based on the word of God. Here is why. It must be firm, in order, to believe what you ask for. If you really don’t believe that you will receive, then you will not hold fast to your prayer.
James 1:6-8
“But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. [7] For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, [8] being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
And how can it be rooted in faith with out the word of God?
Hebrews 11:6
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”
Hebrews tells us that it is impossible to please God without faith, and if we are going to approach God we must believe that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. This can not get much simpler. We need faith in order to get our prayers answered. So how do we get this faith?
Hebrews 12:2
“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
First we must understand that Jesus is the author and finisher of
our faith. This means that we have the same faith as Jesus has. He was the creator of your faith and he had perfected your faith. So, why can we not get any prayers answered, simple we are not applying our faith to the will of God. For the most part, most of us do not really know what Gods will is for us, so how can we pray it. There lies the problem, when we pray “Father if it be they will” this is really a cop out, it’s a lazy prayer. If we are going to get results in our life, we are going to have to know the will of God for our life, and there is only one way of doing this, by faith. How is faith built?
Romans 10:17
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”
We can see it’s by reading the word of God, our Bible, what we can get our faith to operate at full potential. See Jesus created the faith, and the word of God will prefect it. We need to quite trying to con God into answering our prayers. What we need to do is start to understand how to pray. Think of prayer like a baseball player. Does he get up to bat to strike out? No, he wants to hit a home run every time he gets up to bat. And that is how we should be, Prayer is hard work, and it’s like home work when you’re in school. You will get out of prayer what you put into it.
In conclusion, it’s by knowing the word of God, and keeping the word in our mouth that we can start to produce the faith that will please God and get him to move on our part. It is not how much you pray, or how many times a day that you pray, it’s really what you are saying that will make the difference in your prayer life. Base your pray’s on the word of God and you will see God move in your life.
In Part 2 of Understanding Prayer, I will show you how to Pray Effectively. I will show you how to apply this lesson as well as part 2, and you will have the right foundation to be a Master in the art of Prayer.

In the past, The Wordless Sutra was transmitted from heart to heart and from one Patriarch to another Patriarch. It comprised of five words and because it cannot be spoken out, it is then known as The Wordless Sutra. The term “wordless” also told us that this teaching is subtle and words are insufficient to explain its mystical essence and is not something that you can find from any religious texts.
The Wordless Sutra is also known as The Heavenly Mantra. When we practise The Wordless Sutra, our heart will be in resonance with the divine energy of all the previous Saints and Sages. This divine energy will help in the cleansing of our heart and mind. It helps to balance our emotions and thoughts. We can use this mantra to balance back our heart when we are feeling down, upset, nervous, frightened and frustrated or in time of emergency between life and death. Constant practice of the mantra would give us a tranquil and peaceful heart and can bring out our wisdom and compassion.
The Heavenly Mantra represents three distinct realms in the universe, namely the absolute realm (Void or Heavenly World), the relative realm (The Spiritual World) and the physical realm (Earth). The universe basically can be divided into the three realms as the following:
1] The Absolute Realm (Wu Ji): It is the Heavenly World, the Void or non-moving and non-changing. It is the origin of all lives and it cannot be destructed. It is the kingdom of God, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Immortals and Saints.
2] The Relative Realm (Tai Ji): It is the Spiritual World and the active state of Tao. It gives rise to ‘yin’ and ‘yang’ elements. The interaction of the ‘yin’ and ‘yang’ elements is the basis of creations and it can be destructed. It is the realm of the deities and this state is a state of cyclical changes.
3] The Physical Realm (Fo Ji): This is Earth and it includes all the physical entities that are created by the interaction of ‘yin’ and ‘yang’. This dimension is impermanent and constantly changing and things are created and destroyed at all times.
The three realms also explain our own existence and represent:
1] our true nature - the essence within us that is absolute and imperishable.
2] our heart and mind - a state of constant changes. It changes according to the conditions of the environment that surround us.
3] our body - this is the physical entity that is subjected to birth, existence, deterioration and destruction.
The three realms in the universe exist also within ourselves and this is the reason human being is regarded as a model of the whole universe. Buddha once said, “I am the universe and the universe is me.”
The first, second and third word of The Heavenly Mantra represent the first, second and third realm respectively. The fourth and fifth word when combined together is the name of Maitreya Buddha or Mi-Le Buddha in Chinese. Maitreya is Sanskrit meaning alleviating sufferings of others, and giving compassion and joy to others. The Heavenly Mantra is the second Heavenly Treasure and is the secret of Heaven. It cannot be revealed openly except during the transmission of Tao where Three Heavenly Treasures will be given to the recipient who must kneel down before God.
In short the first word represents God, Truth or the Void, the source and essence of the universe. The second word represents Yin-Yang energies, which are the driving forces behind all the evolvement of the world. The third word represents Buddha, the fourth word represents the immensity of Tao and the fifth word represents the rescuing of all beings, having affinity back to Heaven.
This is the saying of Heaven, “Tao of Heaven is made available to everyone the first time since the beginning of this cycle of Heaven and Earth. To encounter this rare event in thousands of years is truly a mystic blessing. Tao of Heaven brings salvation to the kind and the good in this world, to the deities above and the souls of the deceased below. It transmits the mystic and marvelous secret of Heaven at this last moment. By initiation of Tao, one unlocks the golden lock and the indestructibility of the True Self emerges.”
Author: T.A Chew
T.A Chew initially cannot believe that salvation can be that easy. As time passes The Heavenly Mantra and the other treasures become very useful in his daily life. His life was saved by using them silently when he was faced with a life and death situation during a very heavy thunderstorm many years ago. Website: http://www.white-sun.com

Per the miscellaneous signs listed in my previous article, Jesus literally tells the apostles face to face what the signs are that will let us know when He is about ready to come back to our earth for His second coming. The verse is from the gospel of Matthew and it reads as follows:
“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My Name, saying ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom And there will famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:3-14)
2. Another verse on the false christs and false prophets that will come is also found in Matthew. It reads:
“For false christs and false prophets will arise
and show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive,
if possible, the elect.” (Matthew 24:24)
3. Paul also talks about the state of man in the latter days and how bad man is going to get. Here is the verse:
“But know this, that in the LAST DAYS perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.” (2 Timothy 3:1)
4. Paul also states in the latter days that some Christians will be departing from the faith due to the influence of demons. The verse is found in 1 Timothy.
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in LATTER TIMES some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.” (1 Timothy 4:1)
5. Here is the verse about end time prophecy being sealed up until the end of time - at which time this verse implies that God will then be opening up our understanding of it. This is an angel speaking to Daniel in the Old Testament after he just got done giving him visions and knowledge of what was coming at the end of times.
And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end … and none of the wicked shall
understand, but the wise shall understand.” (Daniel 12:9)
All of the above are what I call the miscellaneous signs that will start to take place as we start to approach the time of Jesus’ 2nd coming to our earth. The next 7 are specific events that will take place in perfect chronological order. Only one of these events has come to pass at this time, the other 6 have not.
The 7 year Great Tribulation will be the countdown to when Jesus will come back. This 7 year Great Tribulation will be the last 7 years on earth before Jesus comes back to us in His second coming. There’s an event that will occur right in the middle of the Great Tribulation called the “Abomination of Desolation.” Once this events takes place, the Bible tells us that there will then be exactly 42 months before Jesus comes back to our earth for His second coming - three and half years from the time of this one event. The “Abomination of Desolation” will be when the Antichrist seats himself up in the rebuilt Jewish Temple to proclaim himself to be God.
This event will be very easy to pick up once it happens with the technology that we now have in place to pick up news events as it is actually occurring throughout the world. In my next series of end time articles, I will give a brief explanation of the other 7 key events that will be occurring - with one of them having already occurred.
This is the 2nd part of a 22 part series on the end times.

Research Report on Islamic Banking by Mohamed Ariff, University
of Malaya, taken from Asian-Pacific Economic Literature, Vol. 2,
No. 2 (September 1988), pp. 46-62
Islamic banking is a new phenomenon that has taken many
observers by surprise. The whole banking system has been
islamized in both Iran and Pakistan. In addition, there are some
thirty Islamic banks in operation in other parts of the globe,
including the Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB) but
excluding numerous non-bank Islamic financial institutions (see
Appendix). What is more, the speed with which Islamic banks have
sprung up and the rate at which they have progressed make it
worth-while to study them systematically. An attempt is made in
this paper (a) to survey the growing literature on Islamic
banking, in particular (b) to trace the growth and development
of Islamic banking, and (c) to highlight its salient
characteristics.
—————————————————————–
—————
Evolution The first modern experiment with Islamic banking was
undertaken in Egypt under cover, without projecting an Islamic
image, for fear of being seen as a manifestation of Islamic
fundamentalism which was anathema to the political regime. The
pioneering effort, led by Ahmad El Najjar, took the form of a
savings bank based on profit-sharing in the Egyptian town of Mit
Ghamr in l963. This experiment lasted until l967 (Ready l98l),
by which time there were nine such banks in the country. These
banks, which neither charged nor paid interest, invested mostly
by engaging in trade and industry, directly or in partnership
with others, and shared the profits with their depositors
(Siddiqi l988). Thus, they functioned essentially as saving-
investment institutions rather than as commercial banks. The
Nasir Social Bank, established in Egypt in l97l, was declared an
interest-free commercial bank, although its charter made no
reference to Islam or Shariah (Islamic law).
The IDB was established in l974 by the Organization of Islamic
Countries (OIC), but it was primarily an inter-governmental bank
aimed at providing funds for development projects in member
countries. The IDB provides fee- based financial services and
profit-sharing financial assistance to member countries. The IDB
operations are free of interest and are explicitly based on
Shariah Principles In the seventies, changes took place in the
political climate of many Muslim countries so that there was no
longer any strong need to establish Islamic financial
institutions under cover. A number of Islamic banks, both in
letter and spirit, came into existence in the Middle East, e.g.,
the Dubai Islamic Bank (l975), the Faisal Islamic Bank of Sudan
(l977), the Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (l977), and the Bahrain
Islamic Bank (l979), to mention a few. The Asia-Pacific region
was not oblivious to the winds of change. The Philippine Amanah
Bank (PAB) was established in l973 by Presidential Decree as a
specialized banking institution without reference to its Islamic
character in the bank’s charter. The establishment of the PAB
was a response by the Philippines Government to the Muslim
rebellion in the south, designed to serve the special banking
needs of the Muslim community. However, the primary task of the
PAB was to assist rehabilitation and reconstruction in Mindanao,
Sulu and Palawan in the south (Mastura l988). The PAB has eight
branches located in the major cities of the southern Muslim
provinces, including one in Makati (Metro Manila), in addition
to the head office located at Zamboanga City in Mindanao. The
PAB, however, is not strictly an Islamic bank, since
interest-based operations continue to coexist with the Islamic
modes of financing. It is indeed fascinating to observe that the
PAB operates two ‘windows’ for deposit transactions, i.e.,
conventional and Islamic. Nevertheless, efforts are underway to
convert the PAB into a full-fledged Islamic bank (Mastura l988).
Islamic banking made its debut in Malaysia in l983, but not
without antecedents. The first Islamic financial institution in
Malaysia was the Muslim Pilgrims Savings Corporation set up in
l963 to help people save for performing hajj (pilgrimage to
Mecca and Medina). In l969, this body evolved into the Pilgrims
Management and Fund Board or the Tabung Haji as it is now
popularly known. The Tabung Haji has been acting as a finance
company that invests the savings of would-be pilgrims in
accordance with Shariah, but its role is rather limited, as it
is a non-bank financial institution. The success of the Tabung
Haji, however, provided the main impetus for establishing Bank
Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) which represents a full- fledged
Islamic commercial bank in Malaysia. The Tabung Haji also
contributed l2.5 per cent of BIMB’s initial capital of M$80
million. BIMB has a complement of fourteen branches in several
parts of the country. Plans are afoot to open six new branches a
year so that by l990 the branch network of BIMB will total
thirty-three (Man l988).
Reference should also be made to some Islamic financial
institutions established in countries where Muslims are a
minority. There was a proliferation of interest-free savings and
loan societies in India during the seventies (Siddiqi l988). The
Islamic Banking System (now called Islamic Finance House),
established in Luxembourg in l978, represents the first attempt
at Islamic banking in the Western world. There is also an
Islamic Bank International of Denmark, in Copenhagen, and the
Islamic Investment Company has been set up in Melbourne,
Australia. contd at..

All of God’s Children are called to serve the Lord. Some people
can serve on a daily basis and others are barely able to serve
in any capacity. In any event, the opportunity to serve can
build an extraordinarily strong connection point. People who are
not even Christians are often willing to serve in some
capacity–sometimes in a food bank or a home building program or
a mission trip to a foreign country. Others may serve as ushers,
greeters, parking lot attendants, nursery staff, mechanics,
teachers, chefs, custodians, painters, … whatever needs to be
done.
These serving teams can be a one-time team such as a missionary
trip, or an ongoing team such as an usher team. The point of
caution here is to “mix-up” the serving teams from the small
groups so that the same connections are not repeated. Have a
“ready menu” for serving opportunities. Let people select from
the following: 1. One-time serving opportunities 2. Monthly
serving opportunities 3. Weekly serving opportunities 4. Daily
or full-time serving/volunteer opportunities.
The successful connections are made as people develop
relationships through working together toward a common goal. The
advantage of this type of connection is that it builds teamwork
and a sense of camaraderie.

~ Gladness ~
Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour. And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day.
Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.
Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing, and wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

The proverbs of Solomon.
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother. Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.
Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.
Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.
The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her.
For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD … Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls.
Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.

And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found. And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

In the conclusion of this study we are going to see the restoration of Israel as a world power over all and the end of Her Curse.
These two passages show the power of Christ, as not to know the day nor hour of Israel’s restoration. And two, The Power of God, over all, to hold the restoration in His good time. Jesus in this instance, is shown not to know all things but the things that His Father allowed Him to know.
Act 1:6-7; When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.( Jesus only knew that Israel would have to endure much suffering before the Kingdom of Israel could be established. That is why He was angry in Luke 13:34; “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!”
Luke 13:35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.(Reference; Isa.40:9-11) Mat 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias (ELIAS or Elijah. In Rom.11:2 margin “the Scripture saith in Elias,” i.e. in the Scripture portion that treats of Elijah. Eli’as. The Greek form of Elijah.) truly shall first come, and restore all things.
Before the restoration can begin and the curse lifted, we must look at what Jesus said, must come to pass first, the destruction of Israel is not over until the end of the 7 year treaty is finished.
In Mat 24:29 is proof, Jesus is speaking; ” Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:” The restoration of Israel will be after the end of the 7 year tribulation period.
In Rev 11:13, the earthquake opens up a valley between the two parts and gives the Children an avenue of escape. The mount of Olives will split in half.
(Zec 14:3-4 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east = (Toward Bet Shemesh) and toward the west = ( Toward the Jordan River), and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north = (Toward Al Birah), and half of it toward the south = (Toward The Hebron Valley.)
(References;. his feet: Zec.14:7; Eze.11:23, Eze.43:2; cleave: Zec.4:7; Isa.64:1, Isa.64:2; Mic.1:3, Mic.1:4; Nah.1:5, Nah.1:6; Hab.3:6;)
And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
The speed of the anti-christ and his army will be great, not allowing time to retrieve any thing.
Mat 24:17-22; Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be ( This tribulation is still directed toward Israel, being allowed by God. His mercy for His Children gives them a chance to escape.)
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Mat 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase ( The Dead) is, there will the eagles ( Scavengers, Meat Eaters.) be gathered together.
Mat 24:30 And then ( The word,”Then” is very important here, it is signifying the time of Christ return to destroy the enemies of Israel. Mat. 24:29 must be fulfilled first.)
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: (Rev.21:4; Deu.27:26; Zec.14:11; Mat.25:41)
Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. “there shall be no more curse.” Finally the curse that Israel has been under from the time of Moses will be lifted and Israel shall be prosperous for ever, with Jesus as King.
(Act.17:26; Deu.29:29; Dan.2:21; Mat.24:36; Mar.13:32; Luke 21:24; Eph.1:10; 1Th.5:1, 1Th.5:2; 1Ti.6:15; 2Ti.3:1)
